Vehicle registrations. When you enter a registration, we use it to retrieve vehicle data from official government sources. Registration numbers are not personal data. We do not link them to you as an individual.
Server logs. Our web server records standard access logs — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. These are used only to diagnose technical issues and are deleted after 30 days.
Analytics. We collect anonymous, aggregate statistics about how the site is used (pages visited, referrer sources). No cookies are used. No individual users are tracked or identified.

Vehicle information displayed on CheckBeforeBuying is sourced from DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) and DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency). We do not control that data — any queries about official vehicle records should be directed to those agencies.
